Design on Edge

Design on Edge is a boutique design and marketing company. As a team, we strive for the absolute best in cutting edge design, marketing and business identity. Our goal is to build better relationships between the business owner, organization, individual and the consumer through strategic marketing and one-of-a-kind corporate branding. We are collaborative problem solvers who listen to our clients’ challenges and find smart and creative solutions.

Collectively we have worked as creative directors and graphic designers for a number of unique companies ranging from advertising, media-buying and event promotion to signage, apparel, blueprinting, architecture and casino marketing. When the economy started to shift, so did our industry and we saw a prime opportunity to launch a unique boutique style company that could cater to the tourism industry, small to midsize companies and non-profit organizations. When the company was formed in 2007, we began working with small businesses that needed assistance in the full scope of brand development and marketing strategies. This is where we started to develop relationships, influence peers, collaborate with other partners and provide positive results. Within the first two years, our smaller clients had not only doubled but they tripled in size and space in a time when most companies where shutting down. We worked with local non-profits and media groups for creative cross-promotion, donated media and outreach opportunities. Since the beginning, nearly 100% of our projects have been referral based and our client list has grown substantially.
Design on Edge was recently voted as the “Most Innovative Company and Service in Northern Nevada,” by Reno News and Review and in 2013 Design on Edge published the first official pictorial manuscript on the history of the Riverwalk District. In 2014, Owner, Chris Meredith was awarded a Tech Star award by Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) and the Alumnus of the Year from Dean Dr. Maria Sheehan with the Truckee Meadows Community College. In 2015, Owner, Courtney Meredith was awarded the Technology Advocate - Creative Services Award by NCET. Over the years, together they have won more than 45 awards and notable nominations on behalf of the company for business and design, on a local and regional level. Courtney has more than 17 years of experience working within the design, advertising and marketing industry and Chris has more than 12 years working in digital media and design. Courtney is currently the Design chair for the American Advertising Federation of Northern Nevada (AAF), and Past Secretary and stakeholder for the Biggest Little City organization. In addition both owners are members of NCET, AAF and the Professional Association for Design (AIGA). Courtney and Chris have been asked to sit on numerous panels, present as keynote speakers, and present annually to the Graphic Communications Program for the graduating class at Truckee Meadows Community College. All members of Design on Edge are active volunteers for a variety of non-profit organizations, and continually assist in the revitalization of the downtown corridor and the Biggest Little City.
