In May 2016, the company obtained approval from the Reno City Council to relocate its dispensary to the corner of East 2nd Street and Lake Street in downtown Reno. “We are delighted to have received final permits from the City of Reno and look forward to opening and serving both local patients as well as visitors who hold valid medical marijuana cards or have a doctor’s recommendation as Nevada offers reciprocity to out-of-state patients,” said Scott Dunseath, co-owner, Mynt Cannabis. “We have been working with architects for over a year to design a world-class downtown dispensary that the community can be proud of and visiting medical marijuana patients can also access.”
Frank Lepori Construction, one of Northern Nevada’s premier general contractors, is managing the construction project. Mynt Cannabis is also working with numerous local designers, artists, muralists and historians and plans to incorporate the rich history of the Northern Nevada area into the interior and exterior design of the building.

The company also received an MME provisional registration certificate and relocation approval from the county and state to open a second retail dispensary at 340 Lemmon Drive in the North Valley area. The company is currently working with Washoe County on finalizing permitting for that location.
“A significant focus for us over the next several months will be to secure premium quality cannabis products with strategic state partners and create a robust supply chain,” said Mark Pitchford, co-owner, Mynt Cannabis, and a well-recognized cannabis industry operator who also holds cultivation and production licenses in the State of Nevada. “Patients can expect us to have only highest quality products on our shelves, including top brands including Kynd and Strainz.”
